This photo was taken at the top of Broken River ski club in the central south island of New Zealand. Common with most New Zealand club fields, Broken River does not have any ski lifts serving the area. You must wear a climbing harness and use a nutcracker to attach yourself to the rope tows, while paying extra attention not to let your fingers slide even an inch toward the pulley. If you do, you risk losing your fingers!
